A
my Dray is an IES Postdoctoral Scholar in Quantitative Methods and Assessment. Her research examines the connections between the social and academic competencies of children and adolescents. Specifically, she is interested in how reading and writing about social issues may help children make meaning of their own life experiences, and how understanding social experiences in their own lives might translate into better reading comprehension and writing skills.
Her postdoctoral research connects this line of work to assessment and quantitative methods in the areas of language and literacy, social development, and social and emotional learning.
