im Slotta's research interests include cognitively informed models of learning, teaching, and professional development; technology-enhanced learning environments; and science education. He is currently the co-principal investigator on several funded projects, including the Educational Accelerator Center: Technology-Enhanced Learning in Science (TELS); a Partnership Model for Integrating Technology, Curriculum, and Professional Development in Response to New Science Assessments (ROLE); and the Web-Based Inquiry Science Environment (WISE). Recent publications include "The Web-Based Inquiry Science Environment (WISE): Scaffolding Teachers to Adopt Inquiry and Technology," in M. Linn et al., Internet Environments for Science Education(2003); "Designing the Web-based Inquiry Science Environment," in Educational Technology(2002); "The Knowledge Integration Environment: Helping Students Use the Internet Effectively," in M.
